On August 28th, 2006, a Contra Costa County jury found 17 year old Scott Dyleski, who was tried as an adult, guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Pamela Vitale. On September 26, 2006 Contra Costa County Superior Court Judge Barbara Zuniga sentenced Scott Dyleski to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The verdict has stunned the friends and family of Scott Dyleski, who know the boy as a gentle and caring teen who valued all life and had no history of violence whatsoever. They don't think Scott is innocent, they know he is.
What went wrong in this case that a prosecutor was able to convince 12 jurors that the mild mannered Dyleski woke up one morning and decided to rage kill a complete stranger? The purpose of this website is to expose the trial of Scott Dyleski for the travesty that it was, and to seek justice for the wrongfully convicted teen.
